On 22 August 2009, we had our Humorous Speech Contest and Evaluation Speech Contest in the club. A total of 9 contestants were competing in both events. After two and half hours of enjoyable speeches, the winners have emerged as: Congratulations to both contestants and they will be representing Choa Chu Kang Toastmasters Club to compete in the Area level on 26 Sep 2009 at Grassroot club. Our sincere appreciation and special thanks to all our Contestants, Judges, Test Speaker, Governer, Guests, and Appointment Holders including Master Trainer, Contest Advisor for making this event a very successful one. They are (not in order): Sajeewa Silva, Eugene Chai Yenyend, Stanley Goh & his team of judges, Joyce Xu, Md Ridzuan, Melvina Khoo, Kong Xie Heng, Antonia Beetsma, Michael Chen, Lim Swee Mee, Boey Tien Seng, Danny Ong, Pauline Lim, Simon Kong, Yap Jun Lin, Raja Kumar, Ng Kwee Choo. Not forgetting you, for taking time off and being such a wonderful audience. |

 CCKCCTMC is turning 14 years old and we are celebrating our birthday at our annual club installation and cohesion. Details as follow.
Date : 29 Aug 2009 (Saturday)
Time : 9.00am - 1.00pm
(Registration starts from 9.10am)
Venue : Sun Asian Bristro
(within NUS Staff Club)
Attire : Smart Casual
Fee : Free!
Our Guest-of-Honor is Mr Gan Kim Yong (Minister for Manpower, MP for Chua Chu Kang) and we are also delighted to have other CC Management Committee Members and District Officers (DG, LGM etc...) to join us for the event.
Our sister club, CCK CC Mandarin Toastmasters will also be joining us for the event, to have a combined club installation, as well as to allow both clubs an opportunity to introduce and interact with each other.
Highlights of the Event
We're going to enjoy a magic show, see the photos for the activities we have done for the past year, eat a scrumptious catered food provided complimentary for all plus hearing The Reality of Public Speaking from a veteran always in the eyes of the public, our MP - Mr. Gan Kim Yong, share his experience in public speaking.
